About the SOLyMAR collection

This collection is inspired by the calming blue of the Caribbean Sea and the radiant gold tones of the sun. I created SOLyMAR as my first true collection for DeBorinkén, because the sun and sea are often what I find to be my muse when creating. The sea is my place of sanctuary. She brings me so much peace, healing, and understanding, which is what I want this collection to bring its wearers as well. I create jewelry not only for the beauty of it, but for the healing of it. And in this collection you will find just that, many products that inspire healing, strength, and confidence building. There is nothing more beautiful than a person who is unapologetically confident, so let’s grow this confidence together besties, and shine brighter than the sun 🩵💛

MEET THE ARTIST

Hola familia! My name is Borinkén aka La Bori, and I am DeBorinkén’s founder and designer. I am a nuyorican who loves honoring her Afro-Boricua culture, and the beauty of our earth through art. DeBorinkén was founded as an outlet for my creativity and as a way to share my beautiful and purposeful creations with the world.

Creating for me is my meditative practice, from painting, to jewelry making, to writing poetry and so on. My inspiration largely coming from my culture and the greatest artist of all, nuestra Madre Tierra. You will find odes to these inspirations all across my page from my logo featuring Atabey, the Taino ancestral mother, to waist beads honoring Yoruba Orishas, such as Yemaya. My goal as an artist is to inspire healing, share the beauty of creation, and honor my ancestors and cultures. All in hopes of sharing more buenas vibras and inspiring others to do so too:)
