✨El Sol de Jayuya is a Taino icon for the sun and it originated in modern day Jayuya, PR. Tainos believe the sun is the creation of all life and is a symbol of strength and power. The sun is beloved as an extremely powerful god, providing us with strength and longevity to both our people and life-giving crops.
